Thang Apparel is the brain child of two Former Marines, Tommy and I, who spent 4 years together in 1st LAR during the 90’s. I am the Producer of the San Diego radio show “Chandler’s Watch”, of which Tommy is the host.  We thought about doing a quick run of T-Shirts for the show, but with in a matter of 20 minutes we had 7 or 8 ideas so we decided to run with the idea as far as we could.  We may be starting out with 5 shirts, but we are already working on putting 15 more ideas on Shirts to get out to you.

Tommy and I first met at the MCRD San Diego on the “Yellow Footprints”.  Tommy was Plt. 1033 and I was Plt. 1034 Charlie Company 1st Recruit Training Battalion, so we really did not know each other, yet.

Tommy and I spent 3 weeks of mess duty together before we went to MCT, SOI and LAV School where we started hanging out together.  We both recieved orders to 1st LAR in early December of 1991.  We ended up serving in the best platoon in the Marine Corps, LAV PLT, and lived right next door to each other for about four years having the times of our lives.
